Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! Browse through and learn all about my four dogs and how they came into my life. I have two pit bull mixes, a Greyhound, and a Pekingese. Three of my four are certified therapy dogs, and I plan to have my Pekingese join their ranks. Enjoy reading all about the weird, wild, and wonderful world of being owned by my dogs.

Edited 6/23/09:  I have since lost my beautiful Greyhound boy, Roo, but have added a lovely little Pekingese girl named Chloe.  Peanut has become a certified therapy dog, and Chloe will be able to take her test in the next month or two.  I’ll keep telling their stories and sharing their pictures.  🙂

Edited again 12/11/09:  Ziggy joined the family about a week after that last update, and Old Man Stan became part of the pack a few weeks ago.  The more the merrier!!

  1. Sarah,

My heart aches for your eventual time of decision and grief. That is the hardest part of being a human companion to any four-legged: the time to let go. Remember as the time grows near to give yourself some love as well as Teddy. I can’t say I know how you feel, but I’ve been in your shoes and it’s never fun. Hugs, Davena

    Sarah,
I’ve been reading your blog ever since the lovely, lively entry about the Yachats dog camp. I am the journalist who has covered this event and I am dearly touched by your writing. You write from the heart, which is the only place one can successfuly achieve any success in communicating their true feelings. I am so very overwhelmed by your grief with your dear TeddyBear. As another animal lover and “mom” to a large household of felines and canines, I know this pain. Don’t struggle so hard with your grief and the timing of things. He will let you know. Trust me, he will. Barbara

Thank you so much, both Davena and Barbara. It really does help to know there are others out there who understand. Sarah

We’ve been thinking of you and your family of pooches, wondering how Ziggy and Frankie are doing? We miss you on Facebook. Hope all is well.
